World War Z went from sky high into obscurity mere days after its release but Saber Interactive intend to bring more content to the game regardless. The new Six Skulls update will add more challenge to all the previously released chapters.
Focus Home Interactive and Saber Interactive have announced the Six Skulls update for World War Z. As the name suggests, it will introduce a new difficulty level with six skulls while creating a session for those who want more of a challenge.
According to the announcement, players will need to conserve resources, properly cover corners and good aiming as not to waste ammo more than needed.
This suggests more attrition than before, hordes with more zombies, more bullet sponges in riot gear mixed in or a combination of all three. Whatever the case, players looking for a hardcore challenge should find it with the Six Skulls update.
It shouldn't be a waste of time either since the developers announced that the six skulls difficulty will hold unique rewards so all that effort will not be for nought. Unless players fail to complete the scenario that is.
Since the Six Skulls update will affect all the previously available missions, it will also add more difficulty to the Tokyo one that was introduced with The Undead Sea patch. There will be a new zombie type to battle that Saber didn't describe but it should prove more challenging than the previous types.
Saber Interactive's future update plans involve "The Big Update" that will introduce a new weekly challenge mode as well as several weapon variants, character skins and accessories. In a nutshell, it's going to be a bunch of cosmetics that will probably be earned through grinding the 11 missions that are available so far.

While there is no official data to support our hunch, it is quite possible the magic wore off for the players by now and repeating same content all over again feels as satisfying as licking a frozen lamp post which could be the reason why World War Z went from being the talk of the town to forgotten kid in the corner so fast.
