After a year of console exclusivity, Red Dead Redemption 2 is making its way to PC, and Rockstar have now silently updated their website to show what sort of hardware you'll need. No need to worry, as the specs are quite modest actually.
Perhaps the most important thing to warn PC players about the disk space requirements, where Red Dead Redemption 2's installation will take up 150GB. You still have almost a month to make room, if the 150GB footprint is too much.
So, minimum specifications, which presumably aim for 1080p resolution at 30 FPS, rely on i5 / FX-6300 processors and 8GB RAM. The game's minimum required graphics are GTX 770 and R9 280 cards, with 2GB and 3GB of RAM, respectively, so you won't have to break the bank just to play.
There's no need for extravagant spending in the recommended department either, as the requirements seem pretty tame. GTX 1060 6GB and RX 480 4GB cards are pretty common and should ensure you're experiencing Red Dead Redemption 2's lush scenery in all its glory.
Naturally, if your hardware is faster than this, and we're confident that quite a few users boast rigs that make Rockstar's recommendations look puny, you should still be able to put the spare horsepower to use.
