Watch Dogs: Legion may not have become the biggest cheese on the block but if you wanted to try infiltrating police stations with a grandma, you might want to take advantage of the next free weekend.
Watch Dogs: Legion had an interesting mechanic to its name and little else. The whole idea of the mechanic is that you can play as anyone in the city, provided you manage to recruit them to DedSec.
While it was interesting to see geriatrics recruited against the oppressive PMC, the game failed to bring enough depths to woo the players into staying for the long run. Still, the promise of just playing as anyone in a vast recreation of London is something that at least has gamers on the fence so the upcoming free weekend may be a great opportunity to do just that.
Free weekend starts on March 25, 2021, but preloads will be available on all the platforms that are selling the game. In case you end up liking Legion enough to purchase it, you might want to take advantage of the sales accompanying the free weekend:
- Xbox consoles get 50 per cent off until April 15
- Playstation consoles get 50 per cent off until March 30
- PC via Ubisoft store has 50 per cent off until April 9
- PC via EGS has 50 per cent off until April 8
- Stadia has 50 per cent off until March 29
All the progress made during the free weekend will carry into the full game.
