FatShark's community team for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 just shared a letter with the fans, detailing their plans for 2022. One word: communication.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2's community team sat down to take a look back at 2021 as well as to cast their mind into the future and what 2022 holds for their game and its fans.
After they thanked everyone for the time they've spent with Warhammer: Vermintide 2', the team listed off some of their fondest achievements of the year:
- Introduced a new game mode to bring rouge-lite/like mechanics into Vermintide with the free Chaos Wastes expansion.
- Added Hedge into the game and let Kerillian get in touch with the Queen of Athel Loren by releasing her newest career: Sister of the Thorn.
- Created a new event for October’s Geheimnisnacht and beefed up the Chaos Wastes game mode by adding Grudge Marks.
- Let Saltzpyre extol the virtues of Sigmar even more with his new career: Warrior Priest of Sigmar on PC and Xbox (PlayStation to come in January!).
The future
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 community team had some new year resolutions which boil down to more communication with the community and the game's fanbase. They plan to accomplish this by being present on all the major social media, holding community surveys, hosting more streams on the FatsharkGames Twitch and bringing back the newsletter.
Communication with the community will be held on various platforms including Steam Forums, Fatshark Forums, Reddit and Discord. The team is still figuring out all the logistics but they want the fans to know they are doing their best. The surveys will give the fans a chance to share their opinions on different aspects of Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
Streams will be held on the aforementioned Discord channel on a fortnightly schedule: every other Friday starting January 7. Players can expect games with the community, fireside chats, community highlight reels, and more.
The return of the newsletter: those who signed up for the email newsletter will be getting regular updates on community-created content, in-game events, gameplay tips and tricks, lore tidbits, and more.
