Warhammer: Vermintide 2's devs from Fatshark have concocted a delicious update right in time for Halloween. Chaos Wastes: the Grudge Mark Update will bring new challenges and rewards to the game.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2'developers just shared a brand new update summarising the features coming up with the Chaos Wastes: the Grudge Mark Update. The new update will be available for all players in exchange for zero real-world currency and a light kiss on your cat's forehead. Cats will not be provided with the update that will launch on October 28 on all platforms together with Geheimnisnacht.
Chaos Wastes starts you off with a low power level that will increase as you move through the expeditions.
"With the End Times approaching, Okri's grown concerned that a number of long-held grudges might go unfulfilled. Accordingly, he's taken the unusual step of asking the Ubersreik Five to settle accounts (as drengbarazi, they're as near to being honourary dwarfs as makes no difference) for families wiped out by war."
Don't confuse the Grudge Marked enemies with the everyday Chaos Spawn, Bile Troll, or Rat Ogre. The Marked will be distinguishable by the spears poking through their backs and the added challenge they pose in the Wastes.
Attributes will make all the difference
The Grudge Marked monsters receive a random set of attributes modifying their offensive and defensive behaviour. Heroes who place a significant value on their existence will do well to pay special attention to the new traits. There will be a total of 10 attributes coming with the update, and more information about them will be released into the aether once we get closer to the actual release.
So far, we know that the number of attributes applied to a monster will depend on the difficulty. A Grudge Marked monster can have a minimum amount of 0 attributes and a maximum of 3.
These Grudge Marked monsters will be waiting for the players at the end of an expedition in the arenas, and they also have a chance to spawn from Cursed Shrines.
New Okri's challenges and rewards
Okri will also be providing some additional challenges and rewards. Each career will get a new character skin colour variation after they complete a set of challenges. There will be no less than 60 new challenges and 15 new character skin colour variations to unlock. You can track the progress of these challenges in Okri’s Book from within the Keep.
