Fatshark announced W40K fans as well as those who like their party action will be treated to some gameplay soon.
Summer Games Fest is just around the corner and it's bringing a lot of goodies that should draw the enchanted sighs of many a gamer. W40K: Darktide is poised to become one of those games as all the material that was shown thus far looked exceptionally well and the fans are barely containing the hype.
In any case, the game will be showcased at the Summer Games Fest on Thursday, June 9, 2022. This particular showcase will be different from the previous ones because we will get to properly see gameplay while the previous trailers were all about presenting the story and the setting.
The most recent trailer popped up during Warhammer Skulls showcase on June 1, where we got to learn more about the background of the characters we will be playing. In a not-so-unusual twist, we discovered they are lowlives who have nothing to lose. Technically this isn't a surprise since 40K only has two types of people - those who serve the Imperium faithfully and lowlives.
While the quartet is not a good example of upstanding Imperial subjects, they are all that stands between the city and the Chaos forces that seek to annihilate it.
The clash should be visible in a few days when we get to see proper gameplay for the first time, which will hopefully feature longer pieces of action than the trailer from December of 2020.
