War Child UK and UKSM partnered up for a fundraising event that will feature a Steam sale, streamer marathons and speedrunning, all in the goal of bringing some money to charity.
War Child RE-PLAY kicked off on March 31, 2021, and will last for a week, until April 6. There are several layers to the retro-inspired event so let's break them down one by one.
First off, there is the RE-PLAY Steam sale that features discounts on some of Steam's gems:
- Toki Tori
- Toki Tori 2+
- Cattails
- Dead Cells
- Dead Cells: The Bad Seed
- Wargroove
- EDGE
- RIVE
- RUSH
- Reventure
All the sales of the aforementioned games in this period of time will share a percentage of the revenue with War Child charity .
The event itself will feature a flurry of happenings, such as a speedrunning marathon and an arcade tournament as well as a group of streamers playing gaming classics.
You can check out the speedrunning events on April 3 and 4, between 12:00 PM and 10:00 PM BST (4:00 AM to 2:00 PM PDT). All donations on these streams will go to War Child. The speedrunning streams will be available on Twitch .
In partnership with Antstream Arcade, the organisers will also host an arcade tournament that can be watched on the Antstream Arcade platform.
