Hardsuit Labs confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will get additional clans after the game launches in March 2020. The good part is that they will be free but we do not know which clans will eventually pop up in Seattle.
Paradox Interactive and Hardsuit Labs have revealed six clans from Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 already. They are Brujah, Ventrue, Tremere, Toreador and the fan favourite Malkavian. The sixth clan is not considered a proper clan by some - the Thin Bloods.
All of them were previously seen in the first Bloodlines while the remaining two clans, Gangrel and Nosferatu, will probably be revealed at some point leading up to Bloodlines 2's release. With them, the sum total would come to seven playable clans. Technically it's eight, but as we previously stated Thin Bloods are not considered one of the thirteen clans in World of Darkness.
This leaves six other unexplored clans, some of which will almost certainly be playable in Bloodlines 2. Hardsuit Labs confirmed that two clans are coming up in post-launch content as free additions which will likely make many players happy.
Banu Haqim, Ministry, Giovanni, Lasombra, Ravnos and Tzimisce are among the clans we didn't get to play in the original game but are potential candidates for appearing in Bloodlines 2. Tzimisce and Lasombra are less likely to be among the playable clans though, due to their affiliation with Sabbat.
On the other hand, there will be season passes in Bloodlines 2, with the first one being called Season of the Wolf. Fortunately, it will not interfere with the free DLC as they are separate content entirely.
Considering that Bloodlines 2 will have big shoes to fill when it comes to fans of Troika's Bloodlines, it is good to see Hardsuit Labs are working on expanding the slice of World of Darkness that was previously known in the video game media.
