Massive Entertainment's looter shooter, The Division 2, is heading back to New York City with a whole new expansion on 3 March 2020. Warlords of New York will include revamped progression systems, new level cap, items, skills and more.
Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment are going to officially announce The Division 2's first expansion , Warlords of New York, on 11 February 2020 at 11:00 AM PST / 7:00 PM GMT. However, most of the juicy stuff has already leaked, such as the aforementioned release date.
Some editions of the game which also include the expansion mention the revamped progression system which probably refers to the changes to recalibration, skill power and stat storing that Massive Entertainment have been teasing for so long. Considering this is something that affects all players, the changes are almost certainly going to be available to everyone while Warlords of New York content will be exclusive to those who purchase it.
Speaking of which, the level cap will be raised to 40 and the storyline will revolve around Strategic Homeland Division trying to hunt down their rogue agent, Aaron Keener, who has taken residence in Lower Manhattan.
Preordering the expansion will yield a certain max level weapon and an exclusive outfit, both of which will probably be revealed during the official announcement.
It remains to be seen how the developers will the two stories of the original and the sequel together as Faye Lau is seen on promotional art. However, the players are more concerned about where the protagonists from the first Division will fit in as Keener is now conspicuously calling the Division 2 agent his nemesis.
