Ubisoft's looter shooter The Division 2 will launch on Google Stadia on Tuesday, 17 March 2020, Google officially announced. The game will support PC cross-play and cross-platform account progression.
Today, Google have officially announced that Massive's and Ubisoft's looter shooter is coming to their game streaming service Stadia on 17 March 2020. The game will arrive in its full version with all the post-launch content, meaning that the brand new expansion named The Warlords of New York will also be available to Stadia owners.
However, The Division 2 will not be on Stadia Pro, which is the service's free-to-own plan. Instead, you will have to buy the game separately. This will come as a disappointment to many Pro users who will have to spend extra quid to play The Division 2.
Anyway, The Division 2 comes to Stadia with a couple of neat features that will make your life a lot easier if you already own the game on PC. The Stadia port of The Division 2 arrives with cross-play and cross-save support with PC. You will simply need to link up your Uplay and Stadia accounts to enable the feature. A piece of cake, really.
If you are yet to play The Division 2, now could be a perfect time to dive into Massive Entertainment's looter shooter. The game returned to New York City with its latest expansion and judging by the early reactions from players, it is a breath of fresh air for the game.
As for Stadia, hopefully, the addition of The Division 2 addition will kick off more frequent updates and game additions since the service had a pretty quiet year thus far.
