Riot Games are expanding their inter-universe connections as Silco, the villain from Arcane show will be joining Teamfight Tactics in the future.
Teamfight Tactics has been getting exclusively League of Legends champions in the sets so far but the devs are looking to expand the roster possibilities as they announced Silco from Arcane is an upcoming addition.
This may look weird to TFT fans for several reasons. It's not like LoL lacks diversity to offer to the auto battler which begs the question of why. Furthermore, it's weird to imagine Silco duking it out with a bunch of powerful creatures that make creating or breaking stone walls look like child's play.
Riot Games also had this challenge in mind while creating Silco and his kit that could make him useful on the battle board. Just like in the show, he will not be a threat on his own - the mastermind will instead "be the conductor behind the team", meaning he will be there to empower the allies who will do the carrying instead. Given the way Silco empowered his underlings in Arcane, it's almost certain he will make use of Shimmer.
The same blog post mentioned that while Silco is the first TFT unit that doesn't come directly from League of Legends, he will not be the last. In fact, some of them will not be from Runeterra at all, which hints TFT might become the hub for Riot's crossovers.
Meanwhile, the Zaunite crimelord will not be coming to League of Legends so that champion who uses money to influence allies and enemies will turn out to be someone else.
