TFT Patch 14.21 brings about some sweeping changes to how content is handled in general in Teamfight Tactics. First and foremost, base Chibis are being removed from the League of Legends store.
Effective immediately from this patch, the only place you will be able to buy Chibis is from the Rotating Shop. This move is meant to help improve the overall player experience, especially for TFT players, who feel it's weird to navigate League of Legends' store.
The reason for this, according to the developers, is that only about 1% of players are actually using the store to buy Chibis directly. They say they're streamlining the process so they can focus on more important features.
In doing so, moving Chibis to the Rotating Shop lets TFT players more easily access cosmetics within a dedicated space. This update also better aligns quality and value for Chibis with other premium content such as Little Legends.
Besides those shop changes, this patch says goodbye to the Treasure Golems Portal. While useful items for players were in this portal, it was one of the least used and most complained-about features.
Due to that, it's being removed for now, though it is framed as "setting the Treasure Golems free" in order to let the game update and improve continuously in the future.
Other major shifts include the tuning of many traits, including Arcana and Eldritch. Arcana players will be able to play more strongly with Xerath as a late-game-changed champion, while Eldritch gets badly needed buffs into the duration of spells and attack speed, which make the trait more dependable in its gameplay.
With this patch being the conclusion of the Dawn of Heroes Revival, players will want to check out the notes for all the more intricate changes before climbing the ladder one last time this season.
