Streets of Rage 4 just got a release date, a fresh trailer and its Battle Mode has been officially announced. The upcoming game will land on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
Streets of Rage 4 will hit PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One as well as Xbox Game Pass on 30 April. The price tag that the press release gave us reads $24.99 (£20.01).
The happy news of the release came alongside a trailer which gave us the first look at Streets of Rage 4’s Battle Mode, a legacy experience returning from Streets of Rage 2 and 3. The Battle Mode will see a bunch of players settle many disputes ranging from which eggs are better - hard-boiled or soft - to was the 2020 Super Bowl half-time show really that provocative.

In other Streets of Rage 4 news, the developers and publishers - Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games - have also detailed how they incorporated the recently announced pixel art characters and classic Streets of Rage 1 and 2 soundtracks into Streets of Rage 4 in a PlayStation Blog post.
Streets of Rage 4 is the first mainline entry to be added to the franchise in over 25 years. The new game will reunite Axel, Blaze, and Adam while at the same time introducing fresh fighters and combat depth, a hand-drawn art style, and an all-new scenario.
The upcoming game will feature an original soundtrack from Olivier Derivière incorporating worldwide talent, including massive contributions from series composers Yūzō Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima.
