As mentioned earlier, all the fans of Marvel's heroes and their superpowers can be happy because as of today, yet another game featuring this happy bunch will become available to us. Well, not the game per se, but the playable demo, to be more precise, because the official release of the game isn't yet known to us.
Of course, we're talking about Marvel Cosmic Invasion, and if you've never heard of this game, it is a new beat 'em up from Dotemu and Tribute Games in which you'll be able to control famous Marvel heroes and, in the style of classic Contra games, all with charming pixelated art-styled graphics, beat the tar out of everything that crosses your linear two-dimensional path.
If all this seems like something you want to try, go to the Steam store and download the beta, which is available as of today, November 1, and will remain available till October 20, which means almost three full weeks – more than enough time to feel the game and see if it is your cup of tea.
There are two full stages to try in this demo: New York and Helicarrier, playable solo and in local and online co-op. Also, you'll be able to try nine playable characters: She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Venom, Phyla-Vell, Spider-Man, Storm, Wolverine, Nova, and Captain America.
As mentioned earlier, the official release date for the game is still unknown, but according to some fans online, the full game can be expected to be released by the end of the year. The game is already confirmed for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
