According to the Embracer Group who are handling the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) Remake, this highly anticipated RPG is expected sometime in 2024/2025.
We haven't heard much about Star Wars KOTOR Remake ever since it was announced at the PlayStation Showcase 2021.
Since then, we only got some worrisome rumours stating that the game is in development hell and that Aspyr studio are no longer helming the project. Since then, it was indeed confirmed that Saber Interactive are now developing this highly-anticipated RPG .
The latest official information that we have about Star Wars Kotor comes directly from Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors, who revealed that the game is expected to release in the fiscal year 2025.
The fiscal year 2025 starts on April 1, 2024, and ends on March 31, 2025, so that's when you should expect to play Kotor, if everything goes according to plan and we don't see any delays.
Interestingly Wingefors did not want to comment on the current state of the game. When asked to clarify what's the shape of KOTOR at this very moment, Embracer CEO simply stated that he does not have any additional comments on Kotor.
A very odd response that will only fuel the rumours about the development troubles and that's probably the last thing that Embracer need right now since their financial results for the recent period are not great.
All in all, we hope to see some Kotor Remake gameplay very soon as fans of this iconic title certainly need some good news, to ease the concerns that may have arisen recently.
Star Wars Kotor Remake is confirmed to be coming to PC and PlayStation 5 .
