Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a direct sequel to Fallen Order, coming in 2023. Here's everything we know so far about the game.
After months of rumours and leaks, EA and Respawn have finally lifted the curtain on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Fallen Order from 2019. Survivor will bring the well known souls-like combat and Metroidvania level design with some expected gameplay improvements.
So, if you're looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, here is everything we know about the game so far.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor release date
EA confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently on schedule to launch sometime in 2023.
Sadly, we do not have a more specific release date than that but if we had to guess, the second half of 2023 would be our estimate. Or, to be more specific, it would not surprise us if Survivor launched during the Holiday season (November/December), just like Fallen Order.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor platforms
The sequel won't be coming to the last-gen platforms according to the official press release. This means it's only planned to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Since the devs won't have to spend time optimising the game for last-gen machines, it's safe to say Survivor will be a proper eye candy in terms of visuals.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor story
EA and Respawn premise a cinematic story that follows Cal as he matures and survives during dark times. The story picks up five years after the events of Fallen Order.
Synopsis:
"Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy.
Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and ally himself with an array of unique and interesting characters on his journey. In order to survive, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force."
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor trailers and gameplay
So far, we only have one trailer for the game, the official CGI teaser, which gives us a first look at what appears to be the main villain and some key story characters.
As for the gameplay, we expect to see it soon. Such reveal depends on the release date really. If Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is launching in late 2023, then this time next year we might see the first gameplay footage.
Otherwise, we might see it by the end of this year, if the release is closer to early-mid 2023.
