Square Enix is coming to gamescom and they are bringing all kinds of games. Final Fantasy Windows Edition will be featured, as well as the enhanced Rise of the Tomb Raider for the Xbox One X. A bunch of games by Square Enix Collective will also make an appearance.
Drink a cup of coffee, make yourself a batch of popcorn and get comfortable. This is going to be a long one.
Square Enix just announced their full line-up for this year's gamescom, and it consists of their latest and upcoming projects. You can find them at two locations in Hall 9.
To celebrate the opening of the show, the company has revealed information about many titles from their portfolio. Among others, the updates include the , the announcement of the for Xbox One X, and a release date for the upcoming team-based brawler which will be available for the PlayStation 4 on 30 January 2018.

Titles of the playable variety at the Square Enix booth include the aforementioned Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, , the HD remaster of Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age as well as Lost Sphere.
Final Fantasy XIV Online players can come to both the Square Enix booth and the Final Fantasy XIV: Battle Arena (at Hall 9, C50 - ESL Area) to take part in daily battle challenges. The challenges will include enemies from the second expansion, Stormblood. Anyone unable to make it to Germany can watch the whole show, including the interviews with Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida and a cosplay contest, over at .

There will also be a huge area dedicated to the latest updates in the Final Fantasy XV Universe, and there, visitors can experience the first hands-on demo for Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition, as well as try their hand at the brand-new PlayStation VR fishing adventure, Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV. They will also be able to play the upcoming multiplayer expansion Final Fantasy XV - Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades.
Additionally, fans are invited to experience the classic titles from the Final Fantasy series. A special retro trip is planned to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary. Fans of the mobile-RPG, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, can also look forward to special activities at the Square Enix booth with "photo opportunities with beloved character Fina throughout the show and a signing session with Producer, Hiroki Fujimoto, from 14:00–15:00 PM (CEST) on Thursday, 24 August".

Finally, Square Enix Collective will present five titles from its current portfolio of upcoming indie releases.

The Square Enix Products booth (located in Hall 5.2, A10) will hold north of 140 different merchandise items including brand new action figures, music, card games, silver jewellery, accessories and more. The Square Enix Products booth will also play host to a bunch of events for the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, including demo plays and the first ever German national tournament.
Final Fantasy Trading Card Game
Final Fantasy Trading Card Game has shipped over 5.5 million boosters and it's returning to gamescom this year. Demo plays will be organised at the Square Enix Products Booth and participants will obtain an exclusive promotional card, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series.

The convention will also host the first ever German national tournament where 16 regional winners will compete to secure one of the four slots in European finals that will be held in October. The event will be streamed live on 25 and 26 August starting at 10:30AM (CEST) via the .
