Square Enix has announced the release date for the next Patch for Final Fantasy XIV: The Promise of Tomorrow. Patch 7.3 will arrive in Final Fantasy XIV on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, concluding the Dawntrail story arc and providing a treasure trove of new PvE and PvP content.

The patch was confirmed during a recent Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast on July 24. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida provided an in-depth overview of Patch 7.3, which features the second part of the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid, a brand new Deep Dungeon, and a new PvP battleground, among many other additions and improvements to existing game features.

Further to these content additions, quality of life updates also return in 7.3, including enhancements to chat bubbles and group poses. A host of other features will also be arriving in follow-up patches 7.31 and 7.35.

What’s Coming in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.3

  • New Main Scenario Quests: Continue the Dawntrail storyline in its climactic conclusion.
  • Alliance Raid - Echoes of Vana’diel: Part 2: Titled San d'Oria: The Second Walk, this new raid revisits familiar elements from Final Fantasy XI.
  • New Dungeon - The Meso Terminal: A fresh dungeon experience for adventurers to tackle.
  • New Trial: Includes Normal and Extreme difficulty levels.
  • Unreal Trial – The Wreath of Snakes: Challenge Seiryu, one of the Four Lords, at level 100.
  • Treasure Dungeon – Vault Oneiron: A new area for treasure hunters.
  • Duty Support Expansion: Adds support for the Cutter’s Cry dungeon.
  • PvP Updates: PvP Series 9 kicks off with balance changes, new tiers, and a new Crystalline Conflict map called Bayside Battleground.
