During Sony's corporate strategy meeting, the company have shown off the power of the next-gen PlayStation console in a direct comparison with PS4 Pro. As previously confirmed, the loading times are much faster on the new console.

Sony have revealed the true power of their next-gen PlayStation console on their latest corporate strategy meeting for the company's investors. The leaked video, which was not supposed to be shown publicly, has been shared by Japanese tech reporter Takashi Mochizuki.

In the video, Sony are comparing the power of next-gen hardware against their current flagship console - PlayStation 4 Pro. The game which they chose for the test is Insomniac's Spider-Man, which is a huge open world game, with tons of assets to load.

As expected, next-gen PlayStation is doing a much better job than PS4 Pro. The upcoming console loads a certain scene in under a second, while PS4 Pro takes up to eight seconds for the same job. Sony also showed how fast can the new console load the game's world while players are playing the game.

Next-gen PlayStation was able to follow the high-speed camera trough New York without any hiccups while on PS4 Pro, the game stopped a couple of times to load the next part of the map.

You may remember that Sony's lead system architect Mark Cerny talked about the loading speed of the new console last month. In his interview with Wired , Cerny mentioned that PS5's SSD will have a higher raw bandwidth than any SSD available for PCs.

Back then, he also used Insomniac's Spider-Man to show off the power of the console and once again, the next-gen PlayStation finished in less than a second while PS4 Pro took more than 15 seconds to load the same action.

On their latest presentation, Sony also shared a couple of slides which reveal their strategy for jumping from one generation of consoles to another. Sony believe that this leap will be the biggest we've seen yet.
