Rumour has it, Microsoft are currently working with FromSoftware on a brand new IP, which would be exclusive for Xbox. Apparently, Turn 10 studio is helping on the project.
This latest rumour regarding Microsoft and their potential plans for partnerships with Japanese studios is certainly what many fans would absolutely love. The rumour, which has surfaced on Reddit and has been deleted in the meantime reveals that Microsoft are currently working with Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice developers FromSoftware on a brand new IP, which would be exclusive for Xbox Series X|S.
As you can see from the deleted post below, the game would feature futuristic setting with souls-like combat with a hybrid main character. Players would get to climb large buildings and the map is much larger than Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
As for the release, the game is apparently coming two years after Elden Ring, which still does not have a release date. Microsoft's Turn 10 studio are assisting on the project, which would not be surprising since they are already a support studio for Fable and some other projects.
However, before you get all excited, keep in mind that this rumour comes from Reddit and it has been posted by someone with a throwaway account. At the time of writing, reliable Xbox insiders did not reveal information that would support this rumour so we suggest you take this one with a grain of salt, until we get a more solid source that would confirm these details.
