Over the last couple of weeks, a lot has been speculated about the next Resident Evil game. The eight major instalment in the franchise is apparently first person, set in a snowy European Village and a direct sequel to Resident Evil 7.
However, it looks like Capcom have several Resident Evil project in the works. According to reliable insider DuskGolem, Resident Evil 4 Remake is currently being developed and the latest hint from Claire actress Stephanie Panisello suggests another title with Claire.
In a recent podcast by Residence of Evil, Stephanie Panisello talked about her experiences with other Resident Evil actors including Nick Apostolides (Leon), Nicole Tompkins (Jill) and how she worked with one of them on an upcoming project.
"I know I didn’t know you guys personally, although I do feel like I’ve worked with one of you, but I think it’s a project that hasn’t come out yet, so I won’t say anything," Panisello said in the podcast.
Now, keep in mind that Panisello also works on other projects that are not related to Resident Evil franchise so it is entirely possible that she is referring to one of these projects. On the other hand, it is also possible that this is indeed another Resident Evil game.
Some fans suggest that this project could be Code Veronica Remake but do not get your hopes up just yet. We know that the next remake will be Resident Evil 4 and only after the development on the iconic title is wrapped up, Capcom may consider Code Veronica Remake.
