After the success of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 Remakes, it is safe to say that it is only a matter of time before Capcom officially announce their next candidate for modern graphics makeover. According to reliable insider Dusk Golem aka AesthericGamer, Capcom are already working on the next remake, which is Resident Evil 4, as expected.
Many Resident Evil fans who expected Code Veronica Remake are obviously disappointed but according to Dusk Golem, Resident Evil 4 Remake does not mean that Code Veronica one is not happening. The insider claims that once Capcom have Resident Evil 8 development wrapped up, they will consider another remake title and if the fans' demand is there, Code Veronica will be the next in line for a makeover.
"Let me say if you want Code Veronica remake, let your voices be heard, try to vocalize it to Capcom. After RE8 is finished those people will have to be put on another project, I actually do know Capcom listens to fan feedback more than many think they do and after RE8 I think will be the most likely time Code Veronica may be put on the table if Capcom thinks there's interest," DuskGolem wrote on Twitter.
As you may recall, Capcom recently asked Resident Evil fans if they would be interested in buying another Resident Evil Remake game if they ever released one.
This suggests that Capcom indeed listen to their fans and would probably pick Code Veronica as their next Remake title if players actually want it that bad.
