Hi-Rez Studios have announced that the ongoing weekend will have a 50 per cent experience boost for Realm Royale Battle Pass holders in order to celebrate the launch of the feature. Oddly enough, they announced it one day after launch.

Realm Royale's Battle Pass bonus XP weekend kicked off on Friday, 13 July 2018 and will last until the end of this weekend, concluding alongside Sunday, 15 July 2018. The itself came late though, at 00:08 CEST on Saturday, 14th July 2018.

Apparently this experience boost weekend is there to celebrate the launch of Battle Pass, which is probably true but there are suspicions that it didn't sell so Hi-Rez are offering more incentive for it. Some players have voiced their concerns because completing the Battle Pass takes slightly longer than eternity.

One such example is a player who posted their Battle Pass progress on reddit, stating they couldn't gain a single level "after a long play session". The statement itself isn't very factual, but the same player has calculated they would need about .

This sounds ludicrous but a has popped up on the internet that testifies to these claims. In the example of the player linked above, who was level 33 at the time of activating the battle pass, it would take them 87 hours of game time over 261 games to get max level, provided the games lasted 20 minutes each, the player had 10 kills and won every single one of them.

Now we all know that's quite impossible so if we dial the numbers down a bit, to the level of an average player, where a player manages to survive at least 10 minutes with 3 kills per session, it would take 113 hours of gameplay over 677 games.

Since the season ends in 59 days, the player would need to play about two hours every single day to complete the Battle Pass. It still doesn't sound terrible, until we factor in that not every player will start from level 33. Some will start from 0 and provided they have the stats above, it will take them around 225 hours or almost four hours a day in order to get that dino.
