Rainbow Six Siege - IQ is getting frag grenades

Ubisoft announced major gadget changes when the next season starts in their most successful shooter title to date.

Rainbow Six Siege is getting major changes when it comes to frag grenades in Y8S4, which is set to launch on November 28, 2023.

Ubisoft noted that they wanted the frag grenades to be toned down in order to be less potent than primary gadgets but also to allow more operators to carry them.

One of the main changes is that the grenades can no longer be cooked but there are other ways to reduce the fuse timer.

First, the fuse timer goes from five down to four seconds by default.

Second, if you bounce it off a surface, the timer will be cut by two seconds, meaning you will still get quick explosions off but you can no longer cook it to emulate an impact grenade.

  • Lion
  • Sens
  • Osa
  • Blackbeard

To compensate for the expected increase of explosive devices on the battlefield, Ubisoft will also buff Maestro's Evil Eye cameras on top of giving him one additional charge.
