Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Steel Wave will go live tomorrow, June 16 at 12:00 p.m. GMT. The new season will bring two new Operators as well as some changes to the House map.
Rainbow Six Siege is getting the new Operation Steel Wave tomorrow, June 16 starting at 12:00 p.m. GMT. The new operation will bring Ace to the Attackers and the Defenders will get a new member in the form of Melusi, an Inkaba Task Force ranger.
The new season will introduce the House rework as well as the new secondary gadget, the Proximity Alarm. There will be some changes made to the Matchmaking Rating system and Amaru’s gadget function, plus brand new seasonal weapon skins and Echo’s Elite skin
Ace's S.E.L.M.A. Aqua Breacher will use hydraulic pressure to burst through breakable and reinforced surfaces. It explodes one time on floors, ceilings and hatches, but on walls, the cylinder rolls down to deploy up to three times, if space allows.
Melusi's Banshee Sonic Defence will be deployable on surfaces, much like Maestro’s Evil Eyes but won't require any manual control. As soon as an opponent walks close enough to it, it will release its scream and slow them. The device is bulletproof and can be used by Melusi's teammates.
The House map will undergo some renovations once the new patch goes live. Some of the existing rooms will be made bigger and an entirely new section will be added to the Southside. There's also a new Bombsite in TV Room and Music Room.
The Garage will be revamped and only one of its doors will be destructible. The Workshop will be converted to a Girls’ Room with an attached walk-in closet and The Living & Training Bombsite will be removed in favour of Master Bedroom and Boys’ Room.
