Ubisoft have posted a brief teaser of Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Neon Dawn, unveiling the new Defender Aruni and announcing the full reveal for tomorrow.

The studio's earlier heads-up for Rainbow Six Siege's new operator only hinted at the country of origin, which is Thailand, but now we get to have a proper look at Aruni and her gadget. As you can see, Aruni's speciality is the laser gate that practically seals the gate and keeps the enemy at bay.

Recent data-mining efforts by the Rainbow Six Siege community suggest the gadget is called Surya gate, which is a Sanskrit word for the Sun. Since we don't see any sun tanning equipment nearby, it's safe to assume that Surya will leave you with a permanent burning sensation and a one-way ticket into the proverbial light. Which would also explain all the fire metaphors she throws out.

"Aruni, a new Defender, is coming to Rainbow Six Siege and she's bringing the heat. Tune in during the EU Major to watch the full Operation Neon Dawn reveal live at http://twitch.tv/rainbow6", the studio wrote.

There seems to be a mechanism whereby Rainbow Six Siege's new Defender and her team can pass through Surya without having to test the accuracy of her metaphorical quips.

Aruni certainly looks the part of a certified badass, and the scar further accents the smoldering intensity of Rainbow Six Siege's new roster member.

Ubisoft scheduled the reveal of Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Neon Dawn for Sunday, November 8, 2020, at 11:00am EST, when we expect to see her in action. There's no mention of the launch date, but we should find out soon enough.
