Neon Dawn has kicked off in Rainbow Six Siege and the game is now richer for one Defender, Aruni. There is also a new pass and a map rework in the download that is also available on next-gen consoles.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners can now download and play Rainbow Six Siege, provided they owned the game on the same platform family already. Otherwise, they can purchase the game on the new generation at the same price. Besides the improved graphics, players can look forward to 4K and 120 FPS with render scaling for more eye candy.

Those who owned a PS4 or Xbox One copy of Siege can move up to the new generation without losing any progress since both cross-progression and cross-play are available for both Microsoft and Sony consoles.

Aruni, the new Defender will be able to deploy laser grids on doors, hatches and similar openings in order to deny areas to the Attackers. The lasers will damage anyone who passes through and destroy gadgets that make contact but will short out and will take a few seconds to come back. Therefore, chuck something in and then move through if you really don't want to look for another entry point but look out for murder holes Aruni may have punched in the wall.

Year 5 Pass has also arrived with some cosmetics that you can preview on the video below. If you're an owner, you will get to play Aruni immediately while those who don't own it can unlock the Defender with Renown or R6 Credits on December 8, 2020.

Skyscraper has been reworked and Attackers should be able enter somewhat more safely as crossfire-friendly parts of the map have been altered. There is a new rotation between the two sides of the building and the bomb sites have been moved.
