PUBG Season 6 is now live on test server and it brings a brand new map named Karakin. The map replaces snowy Vikendi and comes with a unique, anti-camping feature named Black Zone.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Season 6 is upon us and the developers have shared the full patch notes for the update which is now live on test servers. One of the biggest additions is, of course, the new map named Karakin.
This 2x2 km island is an arid, rocky environment that provides wide-open terrain and challenging engagements it is written in the announcement. The map is pretty small and fast and supports up to 64 players. PUBG Corp say that Karakin combines the tension of Miramar combined with the pace of Sanhok.
Karakin also has some unique features that separate it from other maps. Named Black Zone, the new feature can completely obliterate buildings into smoking ruins. It's designed to push players out of the safety of a building.
It's a random hazard that can leave towns and compounds undamaged but also totally obliterate everything in its path. The mix of buildings and ruins evolves in real-time throughout the match, meaning that building you may have seen earlier in the match won't be there late in the match.
Black Zone is signalled by a siren and if you are inside of the circle on the minimap, the best thing would be to evacuate. To be fair, it is a pretty big and cool feature that will prevent camping but also bring a lot more tension and tactics to PUBG's gameplay.
New throwable item Sticky Bomb is also exclusive to Karakin. You can use it to destroy Breach Points such us certain walls and floors.
