PUBG Corp revealed the upcoming additions to the game, planned for release next week when 8.3 launches, and some of them are game-changers on Erangel, Sanhok and Karakin.
PUBG update 8.3 is planned to release on September 16, 2020, on PC and on September 24 on consoles. It is bringing several game-changing additions such as the four ferries that are coming to Erangel so those docks will now have a proper function.
These ferries will allow players to travel between Erangel mainland and the Sosnovka island. The two directions will have two ferries each and they will depart from the docks with the first movement of the blue zone.
Nailing the timing will be crucial here since ferries don't stay in one place for long - players will have only 20 seconds to react and board them while docked before they turn around and go to their next destination. The difficulty to board them will be somewhat offset by a horn that will sound exactly seven seconds before arrival. While useful, it's a double-edged sword since the horn will also draw the attention of potential snipers.
Karakin and Sanhok are getting their own game-changing addition in the Jammer Pack. It will allow players to prevent damage from the blue zone and the offset will be level three bag space.
The energy bar for the Jammer Pack will be displayed when it's equipped and once it runs out of juice, the players will start taking damage.
Both the ferries and Jammer Pack will be available only in normal and custom matches while ranked and esports modes will proceed with business as usual.
