Overwatch for PC, PlayStaion 4 and Xbox One received a new patch today. The new patch fixes Moira and matchmaking in Competitive play. Doomfist received several fixes in a patch that's now live in the PTR.
Attention, Heroes: Overwatch is sporting a brand new patch today. While it's not the most content packed update to ever grace the shooter, it did make some welcome changes. Another patch is in the works and live on the PTR now.
First things first: the patch that's available to PC, PlayStaion 4 and Xbox One players has made some changes to Moira and to Competitive Play.
If you have your language set to "Latin American Spanish", you'll see some changes that have been made to Moira's Ultimate Ability. The name of her Ult has been changed from Fusión to Coalescencia. On top of that, four new voice lines when Moira says her ultimate ability name in Latin American Spanish have been added.
A bug that caused Moira's Biotic Orb to pass through terrain and structures unintentionally has also been fixed.
All you Competitive players out there will be happy to hear that the Overwatch matchmaking system has been tweaked and it will now decrease the range of Skill Rating between players on the same team.
As for the new patch that has taken up a temporary residence in the PTR, it's making some people really happy. Genji now has some green detail textures on his Sparrow sword scabbard when the golden weapon variant is equipped.
Doomfist’s Rocket Punch has been fixed in a number of ways. The bug that caused the ability to not always deal damage when an enemy hits a wall has been squashed with glee. Also, the bug that made Rocket Punch sometimes fail to stop an enemies' movement when they impact a wall has moved on to greener pastures.
Doomfist's Seismic Slam was also fixed so it doesn't cancel when it's unable to reach the targeted location. Additionally, Seismic Slam will no longer trigger instantly when the ability is used to travel up inclines.
