Overwatch's latest patch that brought Mercy's new ultimate to the PTR might be hitting the live servers as early as next week. Free Overwatch weekend scheduled to start on 22 September. Another Overwatch map going to HotS.
Overwatch is an everlasting fountain of news and information. Today's news weren't delivered by Jeff from the Overwatch team and that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. His voice is super soothing to me for some reason. Be that as it may, some movement has been spotted on the Overwatch PTR and Heroes of the Storm is getting a new map and a couple of new heroes.
So here we go: Sammidge from the Overwatch team let us know that Overwatch PTR will be going offline "soon". That probably means that all those are about to hit the live servers. If this is true, then the changes will probably be bundled with the update set to launch on 19 September.

In other Overwatch news, we have another free Overwatch weekend coming up next week. The weekend will start on 22 September and go on until 25 September. During this time, PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One owners will be given a chance to give the game a go.
According to , "for this free weekend, we're making Overwatch's full roster of 25 heroes and 16 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Players will also have the ability to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options.
Plus, if you decide to purchase Overwatch after test driving the game, you'll get to keep any progress that you made during the weekend—just be sure to use the same Blizzard, Sony Entertainment, or Xbox Live account that you played on."

Now this is both Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm news. Volskaya Foundry, a three-lane map modeled after the Russian robot factory from Overwatch is making its way into the Nexus. The reward for taking over all three capture points is a giant rocket-punching robot that must be piloted by two players.
Volskaya Foundry is the second Overwatch-themed HotS map, and it will be joining the map we talked about back in April. Two Overwatch heroes: Ana and Junkrat have been revealed as the next two characters to join the Heroes of the Storm roster. Additionally, some cool new skins and mounts are on the way: Commandant Varian, Shrike Ana, Celestial Raptor and Invisible Horse, and a new D.Va skin: D.Va the Destroyer, modeled after the dragon Deathwing.
Ana and the new Volskaya Battleground are planned to hit the HotS PTR next week, while Junkrat will be joining them at a later date.
