Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is about to receive a major update in the next few days, that will bring changes to perks, private match options and weapons among other things.
Just a day after the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch, which brought another nerf to the powerful 725 shotgun, Infinity Ward's communications manager Ashton Williams has announced that a major update is coming in the next few days with some big tweaks and changes.
The update will bring fixes for perks, private match options, weapons and more. The patch notes are being finalised at the moment, which means it shouldn't take long before the update officially arrives to servers. "Notes are a little over two pages long," Williams wrote in her tweet.
At the moment, it is unknown just how much is Modern Warfare going to change with the latest update. Many players feel that the game only need minor tweaks, not a complete rework. Hopefully, Infinity Ward won't just nerf the weapons that work as intended and that the update will instead focus on bugged perks and underpowered guns.
The release date for the big update is yet to be revealed but judging by Williams' tweets, it's right down in the pipeline so expect it sometime this week. Until then, enjoy your favourite weapon, which could become completely useless pretty soon. Fingers crossed that won't happen, though.
