New World: Rise of the Angry Earth PTR opens September 12, 2023, at 8:00 AM PDT / 3:00 PM UTC / 5:00 PM CEST. It will run until September 18, 2023, at which point it will close during the same hour.
Participants of the PTR will be able to test out the new content as well as the changes to the existing parts of the game.
Some of them are particularly exciting, such as the new weapon and mounts but make sure to check out the old quest revamps as well - this is a test server that Amazon Game Studios provided after all.
Content available during Rise of the Angry Earth PTR
- Elysian Wilds Zone
- Rise of the Angry Earth Main Story Quest
- Edengrove and Great Cleave Main Story Quest Revamp
- The Savage Divide Expedition
- Horse Mounts
- Artifacts
- Flail
- Weapon/Perk changes
- Primal Fury Heartrune
- Trade Skill and Gear Score changes
- Influence Race
- Season 3 Rewards Track
While there is a whole new zone to explore along with a new primary quest, the Edengrove and Great Cleave main story revamp should be just as exciting since they will be part of the core experience for new players and characters.
Since there is just one week that the players can test the game in, they will be given a headstart. After creating a character on the PTR, they will get multiple caches of armour and weapons.
Each cache will be based on a general build one main attribute such as Strenght, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence or Focus. Open the crate, equip the items and you are good to go.
