Lost Ark is a pretty grindy game and every opportunity the players get to skip some of it is a good day for them.
Smilegate may have made one of the best changes with the September 2023 update by adding the Jump-Start Servers, which will provide players with tools for faster vertical and horizontal progression, meaning both power and customisation are getting shortcuts.
Honing materials, card packs, additional gear and consumables as well as the South Vern pass will ensure the players get a character immediately up to Item Level 1415.
Since this is a huge jump, these servers will be isolated from others and will have independent pvE matchmaking, party finder, marketplace and auction house. In short, players won't be able to interact with others from other servers but they will skip a bit of grind in exchange.
Once the players go through their journey from Mokoko to a veteran adventurer, the Jump-Start Servers will be reconnected to the rest of their region.
While welcome, the servers are not the only new feature for the month. Primal Island Battle Royale is a new event that will force players to fight one another, as well as a bunch of dinosaurs on Primal Island, until only one is left standing. You will need Item Level 1490 or higher to participate.
Yoz's Jar & Amethyst Shard Shop will be open to allow players to get Epic and Legendary skins by using the Yoz's Jar currency. The system will eventually start giving out 1,000 Amethyst Shards when the result ends up being an Epic skin.
With all of the new content, there is also the new Ark Pass that allows players to obtain rewards through free and premium tracks. Some of the rewards include Pheons, honing material selection chests, pirate coins and Legendary Card Packs.
Finally, there is the Arktoberfest which returns once more to pay homage to Oktoberfest. Players will be able to obtain associated foods at a token exchange and in Hot Time events as well as new cosmetics through Twitch Drops.
