Cyberpunk 2077 - Your PC may not melt but it will run hot

Recent Cyberpunk 2077 warning about cooling caused a lot of panic but it's not as bad as it may seem at first glance. However, the system requirements will get stiffer.

Cyberpunk 2077 will become more demanding with the Update 2.0, which will bring vehicle combat and other improvements and better utilisation of your hardware.

What that means is that the game will be able to use around 90 per cent of your CPU , which will improve in-game frame rates but bring your processor's working temperature up. In fact, the shift is large enough to cause a developer on the game to warn the players to check their cooling before the update hits.

Following a mass panic where everyone thought the game would melt their hardware the moment they booted it up, the same dev noted this will not be the case as long as your PC's airways are not clogged. He also showed the new system requirements that will be the norm after the update.
