Developer Hexworks have just released the longest gameplay video for Lords of the Fallen yet, showcasing new parts of this dark fantasy world as well as two new boss fights.

Lords of the Fallen might not be as hyped as some other heavy hitters in 2023 like Starfield and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to name a few, but judging by everything we've seen so far, this dark fantasy action RPG certainly aims high and should definitely be on your radar.

Today, we got to see 18 minutes of brand-new gameplay and it's safe to say that this is the most impressive showcase of Lords of the Fallen yet. The gameplay features two new boss fights and a ton of other combat with some very formidable opponents, reveals several new locations and gives a glimpse of co-op action among other things.

The world design will undoubtedly remind you of Dark Souls games, even some boss attacks seem to be a variation of boss attacks from Dark Souls games. However, we're certainly not complaining as overall, Lords of the Fallen looks really great and has its own identity thanks to the dual realms system.

Speaking about the two realms, we got to see more of that in the new gameplay. The devs also revealed that once dead, players will be able to resurrect in the realm of the dead and continue their fight against the boss or enemies.

Once you beat the boss, you can return to the realm of the living, which is a really cool mechanic, but if you die in the realm of the dead too, you'll have to start the encounter from the beginning.

Hexworks also confirmed that players will be able to beat the entire game with a buddy in co-op, which is great news to those who might not be that good at souls-likes.

All in all, that's plenty of new footage and confirmed features and if you'd like to see more of Lords of the Fallen, check out the previous trailer that featured a song from Iron Maiden.

Lords of the Fallen officially launches on October 13, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
