2K Sports today officially revealed the first details on this year's NBA 2K, which is now available for pre-order. The game will feature four editions including Standard, WNBA, All-Star and Hall of Fame.
All the details on the editions and what each of these includes can be found on the NBA 2K25 official website, where you can also pre-order the game if you're willing to trust the devs with your money before the reviews drop.
NBA 2K25 will release on September 6, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Some players will probably be disappointed to see that 2K are still developing for the last-gen which can hold back the current-gen version but it was always unlikely that 2K would leave behind such a large player base on last-gen.
2K Sports haven't revealed much about the game's new features. The pre-order pages only mention MyPlayer modes and the usual ones. It's likely that we'll hear more about the new stuff at a later date, but don't get your hopes up for anything groundbreaking since NBA 2K series is not really known for brining new exciting stuff every year.
As for the cover athletes, this year's NBA 2K will feature Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum on the Standard Edition and All-Star Edition where he's joined by WNBA star A'ja Wilson.
The Hall of Fame edition is reserved for the NBA icon Vince Carter. Check out all the covers below.
