2K Sports' basketball simulation NBA 2K20 has topped the UK physical sales charts for the week ending on 07 September 2019. NBA 2K20 managed to take the crown despite weaker sales which are almost a third lower when compared to NBA 2K19.
Last week, NBA 2K20 was the best selling game in the UK when it comes to physical copies. The basketball simulator surprisingly took the first spot, meaning that it landed three places higher than the last year's title - NBA2K19. Interestingly, the new game managed to top the chart despite weaker sales which are almost a third lower when compared to the nearest predecessor.
The rest of the list is mostly made of the usual suspects with only two new entries, which explains why NBA2K20 managed to top the chart despite low sales. Spyro reignited Trilogy, is in second with a big bounce, helped by the release of the Nintendo Switch version of the game, which accounted for 92 per cent of the game's sales.
Spyro's first week sales on Nintendo Switch are less than 10 per cent of what the game managed to do back in November 2018, when it released on PlayStation 4, which is really surprising since the games feel like a natural fit for the console.
Last week's number one Astral Chain is nowhere to be found on the list. The game dropped 73 per cent in sales week on week and it's on the eleventh place. THQ Nordic's Wreckfest, which held the second place last week also saw a significant drop of 70 per cent but managed to stay in the top 10. Control is another game that suffered poor sales with a 76 per cent drop.
