NBA 2K21 has received the update 1.02, which aims for various improvements on the performance and stability fronts, as well as the Mamba Forever bonus.
It turns out that some players who pounced on the chance to get the Mamba Forever edition of NBA 2K21 didn't get the bonuses they were promised.
Update 1.02 should be taking care of that, which should clear up any misconceptions of Kobe Bryant's fans being cheated out of their purchase. Unfortunately, some players will have to wait a bit longer, but rest assured the update is on the way.
Perhaps the most notable change was the fix for button shooting in Triple Threat offline for MyTeam, which has been a huge issue for players.
Reddit users are pretty delighted with the fix, although this doesn't seem to have been fixed for online play. Many NBA 2K21 players caught on quickly, stacking up multiple centres, safe in the knowledge that 3-pointers are a really lousy gamble. In other words - you'll have to go to the hoop, and they're waiting for you.
2K Games made some Pro Stick shooting adjustments on the meter, and you can now disable Pro Stick aiming from the controller settings.
Interestingly enough, 2K Games should be following up with 1.03 pretty soon, although it's anyone's guess what they go for. We can only hope they'll be more generous with patch notes in the next time, because the 1.02 ones have practically been a deduction process, rather than notes.
NBA 2K21's update 1.02 follows the earlier fix that addressed major shooting issues. This has been a huge issue for players, who've jokingly attributed it to random winds on the court.
