Monster Hunter World players will look forward to 2019 as Capcom is planning to release a lot of free and paid updates in the upcoming year. Along with a Witcher crossover, players will get new monsters, events, and new Iceborne expansion.

Capcom are getting ready to bring a bunch of new content in 2019 to their action RPG Monster Hunter World. In the latest developer video shared on the game's YouTube channel, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto talked about the studio's plans for 2019 and offered a closer look at some upcoming content.

New stuff will be dropping on consoles first and PC players will have to wait a couple of months more just like with every previous Monster Hunter World update. The first update which is already live brings Arch Tempered Kulve Taroth - a unique monster hunt for up to 16 players who can join together in 4 groups to take down the beast.

One of the biggest differences with this new monster is that players will be able to push the beast into a new fury state by fulfilling certain conditions. Completing the siege under these tough conditions will provide a chance to obtain rewards like rainbow items which can include new appraisal weapons.

Beating the monster in its fury state won't be an easy task, as the beast will unleash devastating attacks. This is a limited time event and will run until 03 January 2019.

Appreciation Fest is a Capcom's way of thanking fans who supported Monster Hunter over the past year. The event will include features from seasonal events like a decorated Gathering hub and special equipment that can be obtained from new quests. Tsujimoto said that more information about these events will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

Additionally, Tsujimoto also talked about the upcoming The Witcher - Monster Hunter World crossover. In this event, Geralt will meet with members of The Research Commision and take on unique quests that will combine the RPG experience from The Witcher 3 and gameplay of Monster Hunter World. Unfortunately, we didn't get any additional details on this collab but the update is scheduled for an early 2019 release.
