In the latest video on Twitter, Infinity Ward have teased Gunsmith, which is a weapon customisation feature in the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare. According to the devs, players will have nine areas of the weapon to augment.
Not a lot has been said about Infinity Ward's upcoming shooter Call of Duty Modern Warfare since the official reveal earlier this year. The developers did share a couple of interesting details about the game's story and new multiplayer mode, but overall, it's like they're saving the best for months closer to the release date.
However, today, Infinity Ward have shared new info about the weapon customisation in the upcoming reboot, and judging by the blog post, those who like to equip their guns with various gadgets should be pleased with the brand new feature named Gunsmith.
Infinity Ward describe Gunsmith as "a robust weapon customisation option for two main loadout weapons". You will be able to customise up to five parts of each weapon until all the available slots are filled.
For example, with Assault rifles, you usually have nine areas of the weapon to augment. These include the muzzle, lasers, optic, stock, rear grip, magazine, underbarrel, barrel or a perk. You'll be able to pick five of these for customisation and you'll have to choose carefully which ones you select.
It sounds a bit confusing to be honest and hopefully, Infinity Ward explain it a bit better once they reveal the multiplayer gameplay demo on 01 August 2019. The devs also mentioned some of the already familiar customisation items. Muzzle Break, Balanced Suppressor, Scout Combat Optic, Lightweight Stock, CQB grip, Corp Combat and Holo Sight will all make a return in Modern Warfare.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare is hitting the shelves on 25 October 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. For more news about the game, read about the brand new multiplayer mode named and also take a look at the rumoured .
