Mojang rolls out Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.92 update, addressing gameplay, projectile, and graphical issues following the Chase the Skies update. Get the full patch details here.

The developers of the wildly popular Minecraft game, Mojang Studios, have released the latest update for the Bedrock version of the title. Bedrock version 1.21.92 aims to iron out the wrongs after the huge Chase the Skies and Vibrant Visuals updates, which added a host of new features to the game.

Minecraft, which was originally released in 2011, has been an ever-popular game with a randomized 3D environment that leaves much of the game up to player imagination. With the first half of the year bringing fresh updates including an Adidas collaboration, Mojang has now turned its attention to recent bugs that appeared following the content update.

Let’s take a look at what the latest patch brings, and what we can expect when returning to our voxel worlds.

What is included in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.92?

Minecraft Bedrock version 1.21.92 (1022 on consoles) isn’t too different from the last one, as it only includes bug fixes.

Here’s a summary of what’s new:

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where split-screen players were displaying as Guests on Xbox.
  • Fixed an issue where players would disconnect from multiplayer worlds when adding split-screen players.

Projectiles

  • Projectile tolerance margin now scales based on the total active time in the world, not per tick.

Technical Updates

  • Items smaller than 16 pixels wide or high now render correctly.
  • Graphical: Custom skyboxes in texture packs are now displayed, even when Vibrant Visuals is not enabled.
  • Mobs: Null components in entity definition files are now parsed and loaded correctly.

Community Feedback for Recent Updates

Players were generally split on the feedback for the Vibrant Visuals update, with some praising the vibrant color enhancements, but others reporting FPS drops on lower-end devices.

Thankfully, Mojang added an option to turn the feature on or off. On the other hand, the Chase the Skies update has been widely praised for new content such as the flying ghastling mount and Player Locator Bar.

Keep your eye on the update process as Mojang continues to polish Minecraft further for the smoothest possible experience.
