Spookyfest is coming back to Minecraft and there's nothing you can do about it. Both Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons players will have something to do this spooky season.

After a rather slow month, we have entered the last week of May that's just filled with new game releases for Xbox One. Among them, we have everything from nostalgic throwbacks to weird concepts, all neatly compiled in one big list.

Nvidia's RTX has been touted on a bunch of games thus far, albeit mostly in a limited capacity, but Minecraft's implementation promises to take it to the next level, i.e. the entire game will be rendered with ray-tracing.

It's that time of the decade when it's time to reflect on which games did best, and NPD Group's chart of best performing games in dollar sales is out. Interestingly, most of the list are Call of Duty titles, although the top dog is GTA 5.

Even though Minecraft has been on PlayStation 4 for a while now, the Bedrock Edition that launches tomorrow means that PS4 owners are getting the platform-unified version of Mojang's game, which in turn means they're finally capable of firing it up in cross-play.

Minecraft is getting a bee-centric update next week in partnership with WWF. The update will be heralded in by three live streams hosted in the US, Brazil and Australia. A new community challenge will take place from 13 December until 15 December 2019.

Microsoft and Mojang have just announced that Minecraft will be teaming up with Nvidia to deliver Geforce RTX ray tracing to the mega-popular blocky sandbox, and judging by the demo, players are getting a really sweet eye-candy update.

On the wings of several promotions as of late, the Roblox Corporation announced that Roblox has reached 100 million monthly active users, which means it's ahead of Mojang's Minecraft, which averages around 90 million users per month.

Mojang and Microsoft have updated Minecraft: Java Edition to version 1.14.4, which fixes some leftover issues from the earlier update and endows Villagers with better memory and pathfinding, larger inventory, and overall better performance.
