Metro Exodus' latest expansion - Sam's Story will launch for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia on 11 February 2020. The DLC will follow the story of Sam and the players will employ tactics they previously learned to get him home.
Metro Exodus - the third entry in the Metro series of post-apocalyptic shooter escapades is getting a new expansion. The expansion - Sam's Story will deploy for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia on 11 February 2020.
Sam's Story will feature sandbox-survival elements and the players will be tasked with finding Sam's way on his journey through Vladivostok, all the while keeping in mind his mission: find a way home to the USA.
The expansion's release date was recently leaked via an image that was posted on the Metro Exodus DLC website. The announcement on the image in question was apparently planned for 30 January 2020, but the leak could have forced 4A Games' hand and made them officially share the details earlier than planned.
The incoming DLC for Metro Exodus will see Sam start making his dreams of going back home a reality. The titular story will kick off when the Spartans discover that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war.
Sam will then make his way from Aurora to the remains of Vladivostok’s tsunami-ravaged harbours, ruined industrial buildings, and crumbling residential districts. The players will find that their arsenal of survival tactics, amassed while playing the base game, will come in handy when it comes to bringing Sam back to his family.
The last Metro Exodus DLC story expansion was released back in 2019. The Two Colonels was the first expansion for the game and followed the story of Colonel Khlebnikov, father of Kirill, as Colonel Miller retraces his steps in the doomed station at Novosibirsk.
