Respawn CEO Vince Zampella and Co are at it again - Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will be getting a story trailer on this year's Gamescom Opening Night Live.

The story trailer for Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is on Thursday and there will be plenty to seeon the Opening Night Live, including the freshly announced Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart's PS5 demo

This was announced by Geoff Keighley, who has had the privilege to see it already. "I've seen the trailer, game looks really good - more Respawn magic from Vince Zampella, Peter Hirschmann and team", he tweeted.

Before you get too excited, you should know that Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is a VR game, so you'll be needing more gear to experience it properly. Much like Valve's resurrection of Half-Life with Half-Life: Alyx, EA's necromancy of Medal of Honor is gunning for VR devices.

And just like Half-Life: Alyx, the fact it's made specifically for VR sounds like Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond isn't likely to launch elsewhere, or at least it sounds like it.

What we can guarantee, however, is that it's likely to be a blast to play, as it tends to be the case with Zampella's games. In fact, working on Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is somewhat of a full circle for Zampella, who founded Infinity Ward and Call of Duty after working on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (2002).

With Titanfall, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order also in their resume, you can bet your bottom dollar Zampella and Respawn will deliver something impressive, and even if you don't have VR - it's time to welcome back an iconic franchise regardless.
