League of Legends Patch 14.21 goes live on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. The latest patch is full of changes, but some of the largest are the rework of Swain to make him a viable solo laner.
Since his rework all the way back in 2018, Swain has been a strictly Support-mostly pick due to his AP ratios and linear playstyle. This mini-rework aims to give him a stronger presence in solo lanes.
Other changes included in Patch 14.21 are numerous buffs and nerfs. Top buffs include slight tuning for Elise and Xayah, while Sivir gets a whole set of more changes. On the other side, Camille and Kai'Sa will be hit with long-overdue nerfs.
The patch also contains a continuity of the bounty system going live, which is supposed to be more gold distributive than champion kills with the intention of trying to reduce snowballing in matches.
Key champion buffs
Elise (E - Cocoon): Mana cost dropped from 50 to 0.
Sivir: Base attack damage increased to 60 from 58. Q damage significantly increased
Xayah (W - Deadly Plumage): Repeat damage raised to 25%.
Key champion nerfs
Camille: Base health reduced and her W and Ultimate utility adjusted.
Kai'Sa: Passive damage and AP ratio lowered across the board.
