League of Legends Patch 14.21 brings the major updates for both Swain and Irelia. Riot Games finally decided that it is time to rework these two champions, and the final update will come with LoL Patch 14.21.
Both these champions are going to go through a series of tweaks in stats and abilities in an attempt to give them that extra oomph with respect to effectiveness and playstyle.
Swain's kit is being tuned to be even more in-line with a solo laner-more mana regen, as he's taking on responsibility for roaming, less healing from Ravenous Flock due to the resources now available to him.
Swain rework in Patch 14.21
His Q, Death's Hand, now reliably does 25% damage per bolt, with adjusted base damage and improved AP scaling.
Other abilities like Vision of Empire and Nevermove also receive updates in the form of damage and cooldowns, while his ultimate, Demonic Ascension, sees an increased cooldown yet starts immediately upon cast.
These changes look to help his laning phase and overall performance.
Irelia rework in Patch 14.21
Passive and Q - Irelia's passive and Q ability see some reductions in attack speed and cooldowns: The gain per stack and cap in attack speed has been reduced; her Q now has a shorter cooldown with lower mana cost.
The goal is to even out her early-game strength without weakening her mid- and late-game confines.
These changes are a pretty big reworking of both champions as they attempt to give players more balanced and enjoyable feelings when taking into solo lanes.
