Tarsier Studios and Namco Bandai have rolled out a Halloween trailer for their horror platformer Little Nightmares 2, and it's every bit as haunting as you'd expect.
"Halloween is coming up soon, and we've got quite the treat, children. It's another look at the frights waiting for you next year, including a new face to add to your bad dreams. The Doctor will see you in Little Nightmares II, available for PS4, Xbox1, Switch, and PC on February 11, 2021", the description reads.
Little Nightmares 2 follows the traditionally spooky-yet-cute formula and the trailer is definitely on board with the vibe.
The Halloween trailer gives you a peek at the new lineup, as Little Nightmares 2 has an adorable new protagonist - Mono. He's the fellow with the bag on his head, who's looking cute even when swinging that hammer around.
Fans of the game's predecessor, Little Nightmares, needn't worry though, as Mono is joined by Six, the original protagonist. Note that she won't be playable in Little Nightmares 2, despite featuring heavily.
As for the storyline, Little Nightmares 2 picks up after the events of the original game, when Six escapes from the Maw. The dynamic duo will be exploring the Pale City and trying to reach the Black Tower, where they'll be fighting the Thin Man.
Interestingly, the Thin Man could be seen at the end of the Secrets of the Maw DLC, so we've sort of had the teaser for a while now.
From what we can see in the trailer, Tarsier really did a great job, making the setting and characters even spookier than in the first game. And amen to that.
