Riot's lead gameplay designer, Riot Phroxzon, has taken to Twitter to reveal that champions like Dr. Mundo, Rammus, and numerous mages are set to receive buffs in the upcoming Patch 13.22.

With the conclusion of the Worlds patches, Riot Games is shifting its attention towards optimizing the solo queue experience in League of Legends.

Patch 13.21 brought substantial changes, particularly following the adjustments made to the jungle. This update included buffs to various champions and the transformation of certain mages, like Zyra, Morgana, and Brand, into more viable jungle picks.

It was also a patch that saw the nerfing of popular League of Legends champions such as Caitlyn, Dr. Mundo, Rammus, and Jinx. Rammus and Dr. Mundo, in particular, faced significant nerfs.

Dr. Mundo Buffs

Dr. Mundo was dealt a significant blow with a previous nerf that affected his E ability's bonus damage, leading to a sharp decline in his win rate.

Prior to the nerf, he boasted a win rate of over 52.06% and held a spot among the top 5 best top laners. Following the nerf, his win rate plummeted to 48.09%. To restore some of his former strength, he will be receiving buffs.

Rammus Buffs

Similar to Dr. Mundo, Rammus was a formidable champion in the preceding patch, known for his counter-picking prowess. However, he was perceived as overly dominant in ranked matches, prompting a nerf.

Unfortunately, these nerfs pushed him out of competition. Consequently, Rammus is poised to receive well-deserved buffs.

Mage Buffs

Mages have long relied on the attack speed rune shard to enhance their gameplay. The absence of this rune has made mages feel comparatively weaker in the laning phase.

To address this issue and provide mages with more satisfying options, Riot is set to bolster attack speed for a majority of mages. Notably, champions like Karthus and Cassiopeia will not experience significant alterations.

Patch 13.22 Release Date: The buffs are scheduled to go live with Patch 13.22, which is slated for release on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
