League of Legends has seen several substantial patches recently, introducing numerous changes to the game. However, in Patch 13.22, Riot Games is shifting its focus back to the fundamentals.
The changes in this patch are set to address the Mage class's reliance on the Attack Speed rune shard and make adjustments to underutilized champions like Janna and Seraphine.
Notably, Riot is also preparing to apply nerfs to potent champions like Graves, Nilah, and Ziggs.
Upcoming Champion Nerfs
Briar:
- Despite multiple prior nerfs, Briar continues to maintain her strength, prompting another round of nerfs in Patch 13.22.
Graves:
- Graves has been a formidable champion for some time, and the recent Jungle adjustments further bolstered his performance. Consequently, he is in line for a nerf in the upcoming patch.
Kassadin:
- Scaling changes introduced in Patch 13.20 indirectly benefited Kassadin, and the surge of Mages in the Mid Lane amplified his effectiveness. This leads to Kassadin receiving some nerfs in the next patch.
Nilah:
- The nerfs aimed at Nilah may come as a surprise to many. However, she has steadily gained popularity and seen an increase in win rates over recent patches. With a current 52% win rate and a 6% ban rate in Solo Queue, Riot is taking measures to balance this high-skill cap champion.

Senna:
- Direct buffs in Patch 13.18, combined with indirect scaling buffs in Patch 13.20, have pushed Senna's power to excessive levels. As a result, Riot will be making adjustments to her in the latest patch.
Tahm Kench:
- The Tahm Kench/Senna Bot-Lane duo has emerged as one of the most formidable combinations in League of Legends. With a win rate exceeding 55% in Solo Queue and significant strength in Professional Play, Riot is addressing this powerful bot lane synergy.
Ziggs:
- Changes in Patch 13.20 have elevated Ziggs's strength, warranting some nerfs in Patch 13.22.
Release Date: The listed nerfs are expected to take effect in Patch 13.22, scheduled for release on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
